Problems putting in text

Hello,

Now I am just having an issue with how to put the text in an interesting manner. I think I will go with the second one in that it will be more uniform across the websites.  But, I am still working on making it more interesting.

ARGGHHHHHHH!!!!

 ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH! I have been working like crazy on these things, but ARGGHHHHH! Btw, I had a brainstorm hit me for the main page that I can’t wait to work on, but since it is more geometric and therefore easier to draw, I am saving that one for last.

Flash animations that will be put in

Hello,

I thought I would list the animations so I can have a checklist I will run through later after putting them into the flash file.

Main:

- The background moves along with each main page: blue, green, pink, and main

- the sub buttons come up from the bottom when you click onto each page

- the main buttons come up last on the main page after the loading page?  But, will this be an issue later?

- Everything by extension moves with the background when you click onto blue, pink green, main

 

Sub Animations:

- The buttons change color when you hover over them

- The information for each sub button comes from the bottom of the page out of screen.  A black box of lowered opacity will be with the information to separate from the background.  The box may come out of the bottom first.  Then, when the box expands in size the information is already inside it.

- The company names on the page could be shortcuts to other information?  Hovering over the company names will bring up new information on just that company?  But, that will be available anyway through examples?

 

Newer Web Pages

Here are the websites with some logos attached.  I thought of putting the main examples to get people’s attention, but I may end up just putting some photos that were originally going into the photo gallery.  I may also mess with the background a little more.  I like the font for the green washing the best in comparison to the bluewashing one.

 

Background!

Hello!

Here is the background for the website.  I took the original photo and inverted, transformed, and clone stamped until I had a large enough photo that could be used for the whole website.  The image will move across the background depending on which main button you choose.  So there are four total images for the main button, blue washing, pink washing, and green washing buttons.

 

Update: I have been messing with the images to make them larger and more smooth.  Of course, I need to just import them into Flash to see how smoothly the animation will go through.

Newest Websites, They are looking a bit better!

Here are the different versions of the website I have been working on.

  Here is the newest one.  I have saved other versions but this is most consistent with the other page I have also done.  I believe the main page still does not look as good as the sub pages.

 

 

  Here is the page for blue washing.  I tried to add the highlights while using a more interesting font.  Due to it being the main page you don’t get to see the font as well.

 

 

Here is the page with the main buttons bigger so they can be read easier.

 

 

 

Here I made the main website name bigger to go along with hierarchy.  The name being set like that makes me want to put a subtitle under it, like some sort of quote.

New Titles and Pictures

Hellooooo,

Here are some possible new titles and some of the pictures I have found.  I have spent most of my time now looking up photos for my photo gallery.  The photo gallery will show examples of campaigns by different companies that can be seen as pinkwashing/greenwashing/bluewashing.

Titles:

Pink, Green & Blue

Misleading World

Just to explain these examples, it is rather hypocritical to say you are donating money for helping to find a cure for cancer when your products you are advertising do not help in creating a healthy lifestyle to help prevent cancer.

I will definitely have a bibliography on one of the pages citing where I get my photos and information.

Website Update

So here are the pages I am developing for the main pages and sub pages.  The colors are still being debated along with the type, hence, I used different type on each one as I decide on which one I like best.  Also, after all this I am still debating on the actual name for the website.  Here are some possibilities:

Here is the possible main page.  I have made the design vertical instead of the original horizontal.  I feel like this makes it easier for future animations, information and pictures I will be placing on the website.

 

 

 

 

Here is the main page for green washing.  I experimented with placing abstract leaves on the page but I will try different shapes of leaves to see which one I like the best.  There are leaf icons along the black strip which will act as menu buttons for the page.  As I create more leaf images I will place them for different pages.  I am afraid having the same leaf for all the buttons would be too confusing.  The page also seems kind of dark so I may choose a lighter green. The font is Tuffy.

 

 

 

 

Here is the page for blue washing.  I put water droplets in the background but I am afraid this may be too misleading.  Blue washing is more then just companies having a large water footprint, it encompasses many things.  The buttons for the page are more varied as I experimented to see if they will be easier to understand by having them all be so different. The font is Gill Sans.

 

 

 

 

This page has the possible buttons along the black strip instead and are considerably bigger.  This may make it more understandable for all ages but could be too distracting.  I also didn’t put anything in the background to compare with the other pages.  The font use is Myriad Pro.
